But when you come upon the scene, you chase the clouds away.
When I am without you the breezes stop in their tracks,
But when you step into view, the air flows freely over our backs.
When I am without you the birds stop their winging,
But when you are here with me, I see them and hear their singing.
When I am without you the food looses all its flavor,
But when you gave me your love, that I will always savor.
When I am without you the plants seem to have lost all their leaves,
But when you hold me close, your love is as strong as the boughs of the trees.
When I am without you the flowers have no beauty or smell,
But when you caress and touch me, I breathe you
and know the gratification of your love so well.
When I am without you the music has no sound in my ears
But when you speak your rhapsody of love for me,
my eyes well up in tears.
When I am without you time seems to crawl by ever so slow
But when you and I are together, I wonder "Where did the time go?"
When I am without you my life is so empty and dreadfully incomplete
But when I am with you, I feel like I am on a Heavenly Retreat.
I just wanted you to know that I do so cherish you and your wonderful love.
And to tell you that I will always love you,
just as sure as there is a Heaven above.
